A Message from Sierra

"In many of my conversations, I encounter people who hesitate to call themselves leaders simply because they aren't in charge of a team or don't hold a formal title. I completely understand this view because I once felt the same. For the longest time, I believed that to be recognized as a leader in my field, I needed advanced degrees and formal authority. But my understanding of leadership changed dramatically after encountering John C. Maxwell’s definition: 'Leadership is influence, nothing more, nothing less.'

This simple yet profound insight made me reconsider what it means to be a leader. I realized that leadership isn't confined to the few who sit at the top; it's about influencing and making an impact, regardless of your position. I've come to see that we all have the capacity to be leaders because we all influence those around us. Recognizing this was a turning point for me.

On 'Branching Out with Sierra,' we dive into this inclusive concept of leadership. We explore how every interaction is an opportunity to lead, whether you're guiding a team, raising a family, or managing personal projects. Leadership is about making a difference, big or small, in whatever context you find yourself.
